TickerHoof provides general research tools and model-generated observations. It is not intended to provide a personal recommendation and does not execute trades. Read the risk disclosure.
1. Who provides the service
These terms are between you and TickerHoof (“TickerHoof”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Contact: support@tickerhoof.com.
2. Eligibility and acceptance
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Do not use TickerHoof where doing so would breach applicable law or a restriction imposed on you.
3. The service
TickerHoof provides access to market-research tools, model-generated observations, watchlists, model-performance information and optional read-only portfolio context. Features may change as the product, data sources and models develop.
The service does not guarantee that any symbol will rise or fall, that information is complete or current, or that an observation will produce a profit.
4. Account security
You are responsible for keeping your password, authenticator, recovery codes and devices secure. You must provide accurate account information and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must not share an account, bypass MFA, interfere with security controls or use another person's identity. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or data.
5. Trial, subscription and payment
Recurring billing
Where you start a paid plan, the price, billing interval, trial period and taxes will be shown before checkout. Unless cancelled, a monthly subscription renews automatically at the then-applicable monthly price.
Payment provider
Payments and billing-management functions are provided through Stripe or another provider identified at checkout. Their terms and privacy practices also apply to their services.
Cancellation
You can cancel through billing settings or the billing portal. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, cancellation stops renewal and access continues until the end of the current paid period.
Refunds and statutory rights
Fees are generally non-refundable once a paid period has started, except where required by law or expressly stated by us. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
Price changes
We may change future subscription prices by giving reasonable notice. A change will not alter a period already paid for.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, data or credentials;
- scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute content except where we expressly permit it;
- reverse engineer security controls, models or non-public application interfaces;
- use the service to manipulate markets, mislead others, commit fraud or breach sanctions;
- upload malware, automate abusive requests or interfere with availability;
- present TickerHoof outputs as guaranteed, regulated personal advice or our endorsement of a transaction.
7. Third-party services and integrations
Optional integrations, including Stripe and Alpaca, are provided by independent third parties. You decide whether to use them and should review the permissions and terms shown by the provider.
TickerHoof's Alpaca integration is designed for read-only portfolio context. You must check the authorisation screen before connecting. We are not responsible for the independent availability, accuracy, security or acts of a third-party service, although this does not exclude responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Investment risk and your decisions
You remain solely responsible for deciding whether to buy, hold, sell or avoid an investment. Before acting, you should review current issuer information, market conditions, fees, tax consequences and your own objectives and capacity for loss. Consider regulated professional advice where appropriate.
Past results, backtests, confidence scores and previous model accuracy do not guarantee future performance.
9. Intellectual property and permitted use
TickerHoof, its software, branding, page designs, databases and original content are owned by us or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service for your own lawful research while your account is authorised.
Third-party market data, company information and provider names remain subject to their owners' rights and terms.
10. Availability, maintenance and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Market data, AI providers, hosting, email, payment and brokerage integrations may be delayed or unavailable. We may perform maintenance, fix errors, change limits, retire a model or remove unsafe content.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, TickerHoof is not responsible for investment losses or decisions made in reliance on model outputs, delayed or inaccurate market information, or events outside our reasonable control. For paid consumers, any other aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees you paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, to the extent such a limit is lawful and fair.
12. Suspension, closure and termination
You may stop using the service and request account closure. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security risk, legal requirement or misuse. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the action and provide an opportunity to contact support.
Provisions that logically continue after closure—including intellectual property, payment obligations, risk allocation and dispute provisions—will survive.
13. General terms
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email and will state when they take effect.
Transfer
You may not transfer your account or contract without our written agreement. We may transfer our rights and obligations where this does not reduce your legal protections.
Severability and waiver
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections and may be entitled to bring proceedings in your home courts. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern.
